This Privacy Policy explains how Mentra (“Mentra,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a service operated by Motivus Cloud, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and application (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and mobile phone number, which we use to create and secure your account.
• Financial information you enter — account balances, bills, deposits, spending plans, goals, assets, and liabilities that you add to Mentra so we can calculate your figures. This information is entered by you; we do not connect to your bank unless and until you explicitly authorize an account-linking feature in the future.
• Authentication and security data — credentials, two-factor authentication settings, and recovery codes used to protect your account. Sensitive secrets are stored encrypted.
• Technical data — limited information such as device and browser type and log data needed to operate and secure the Service.

How we use your information

• To provide the Service — calculating your figures, forecasts, and recommendations.
• To create your account and verify your identity, including sending one-time verification codes by email and SMS.
• To secure your account with two-factor authentication and detect misuse.
• To communicate with you about your account and important service notices.

SMS / text messaging

With your consent, we send one-time verification codes to your mobile number to verify it and to protect your account at sign-in. These are account-verification and security messages only — Mentra does not send marketing or promotional text messages. Message frequency depends on your sign-in activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to opt out of these messages at any time, or HELP for help.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Service, and only as needed to do so, including:

• Azure Communication Services (Microsoft) — to deliver verification emails and SMS messages.
• Identity and hosting providers — for secure authentication and to host the Service.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or in connection with a business transfer. Any future account-syncing capability (for example, connecting a bank account) will be optional, clearly disclosed, and governed by the additional provider’s terms; we would store only the minimum data needed.

Data security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest for sensitive data, mandatory two-factor authentication, and strict access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to minimize what we collect and retain.

Data retention and your choices

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and personal information by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your personal and financial data from the Service, subject to limited retention required by law.

Children

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
